NBC Universal is seeking talent for Stand Up for Diversity. This is an open call opportunity for male & female comics of diverse backgrounds who are serious about being funny to be showcased for agents, casting directors, and television executives in consideration for future casting and development opportunities. Alumni include Hannibal Buress (30 Rock) and Deon Cole (Conan). Talent must have five minutes of polished material. 


Open call auditions will be held as follows:


July 10, 10 a.m. at Stand Up Live, 50 W. Jefferson St. Suite #200, Phoenix, AZ;


July 30, 10 a.m. at The Comedy Mix, Century Plaza Hotel & Spa, 1015 Burrard St. Vancouver, BC;


Aug. 11, 10 a.m. at The Punchline, 280 Hilderbrand Dr., Atlanta, GA;


Sept. 9, 10 a.m. at The Comedy Cellar, 117 MacDougal St., NYC


Only the first 100 comics will be seen, so early attendance is strongly recommended. Performers will have one minute at the initial audition. Callbacks will be held later in the day to perform a longer set, and the top comics will be selected to perform in the showcase that evening.
